ARISE and Shine is a community-based nonprofit serving underserved communities, with a focus on families, youth, newcomers, and culturally diverse communities. We provide practical support that helps individuals and families overcome barriers, access resources, build stability, and move toward long-term self-sufficiency.

Our work is organized into six core program areas: Family Strengthening and Stability; Food Security and Cultural Food Access; Education, Language, and Digital Empowerment; Economic Mobility and Career Pathways; Health, Wellness, and Peer Support; and Youth Empowerment and Positive Development.

Through these programs, ARISE and Shine support families with parent education, caregiver support, housing stability, food access, culturally familiar foods, education, digital literacy, employment support, wellness navigation, peer-informed support, and youth mentorship.

Our Youth Empowerment and Positive Development program includes Eclipse Mavericks of Oregon. E.M.O. Sports Club, ARISE and Shine’s community sports club. Through sports-based mentorship, young people build discipline, teamwork, confidence, leadership, and positive community connection.

ARISE and Shine works to strengthen families, support young people, reduce barriers, and build safer, healthier, and more connected communities.
